RED WEDNESDAY

On Wednesday, 20 November, cathedrals around the world (including St. Patrick’s) will be lit up in red to draw attention to the plight of Christians who suffer persecution for their faith. This year is focussed in particular on the suffering Christians in the Holy Land, where the people are experiencing immense hardship and struggling to remain in their homeland. Here in Busselton we are holding a Penitential Prayer Service for persecuted Christians in St Joseph’s Church at 6.30pm. It will run for approximately 45 minutes. It is hoped that by standing in solidarity and love with our persecuted brothers and sisters, they will know they are not alone or forgotten. It also provides an

opportunity for us to value and live out our faith more deeply.
