Pope Francis has called for a global day of prayer and fasting on Monday, October 7 to mark the one-year anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel amid escalating violence in the region. He also revealed that he will go to Rome’s Basilica of St Mary Major on Sunday to pray the Rosary on the eve of the anniversary to invoke the gift of peace through the intercession of Most Holy Mary”. Perhaps we too could pray the Rosary for the gift of peace in the world on this night? Fr Nathan will be leading the Rosary after Sunday night’s Mass, or you could set aside this time at home to join with this much needed intention.
