Update
We aim to have the lines of communication open. Look out for newsletter notices, updates such as this one, suggestion boxes at each Church, a structural chart with names and photos displayed in both Churches informing you of who your councillors are and which sub-committee they are leading.
This Parish Website is up and running now and is a great way to keep in touch with what is going on in the Parish.
If you have any questions, please approach any of your Parish Pastoral Council members after Mass.
We are privileged to be able to serve on the PPC and we look forward to supporting you as we all continue to grow as we journey in faith together.
Our Vision is Proclaimed!
First and foremost as a Parish community we have to have faith. God invites us to be open and to give outreach to others. If we reach out to others we grow in faith. There is a cycle of openness and nourishment.
Outreach is something that currently occurs in our Parish, in many ways, and by many people. Our vision for the Parish is to coordinate and continue our outreach program. This is a practical way that we can all live out our Parish vision by our simple actions, showing care and concern for each other.
Inclusivity in our Parish refers to being welcoming, accepting of differences and including all people for who and what they are. It refers to all the ways that we reach out and include people in our Parish. Inclusivity means including all people in Liturgical Life, Faith Formation, Social Life, Joseph Care and Parish realities.
Underpinning all aspects of our Parish vision is Openness. Openness means being ‘open’ to everyone in the Parish. It means having effective dialogue, collaboration, and sharing of information. People need to know that there are means of communication and avenues to address or discuss issues. Openness also means that we are open to the Holy Spirit working in our lives, as we strive to grow in Faith, be inclusive of all and give outreach to those in need.
The new vision was received well by the community and there is an air of excitement around the direction in which the Parish is heading.
